Who’s for small dog liberation?
November 10th, 2006

That is Bubba, a Jack Russell who is being threatened by the Victoria Island Health Commission in Canada. He spends time behind the counter of the bookstore portion of a bookstore/coffee shop. Apparently, the two parts of the store are separate, and share little common area but are not separated by any physical barrier. I understand the objection to having animals roaming around a food establishment but if the patron’s don’t object they should let him stay. I like this patron’s suggestion: “”Put a sign on the door: Warning — Jack Russell terrier and bagels in the same general area.”
Another disturbing headline: Commissioner criticizes cainine segregation. In my opinion, he’s actually criticizing small dog liberation. This man must be stopped! Tompkins Square Park has a small dog run, for pups under 23lbs and it appears to work pretty well for protecting small dogs from larger breeds. Small dogs needs to be protected from situations like this.
Why’s everyone so anti-small dog? What has the world come to?
