A minute on the lips, a lifetime on the small dog hips

January 12th, 2007

Today’s post is inspired by this headline: Too much puppy love can turn into unwanted pounds. “When Kai was 3 months old, he was a chubby puppy because he was getting so many treats as rewards for his good behavior. Although his owner very carefully cut his treats in half until he shed his baby fat, she said it was difficult.”

Dear Nana:

Stop feeding Buster so many treats. Animal crackers are not low in sugar and good for his teeth. We are all well aware of the fact that you feed him endless treats to brainwash him into your unyielding servitude. It’s not nice or fair.

Do you want him to look like this???

Okay, okay, so that’s a trick question.

Today’s Small Dog Headlines:

Dog decoy used in Vernon home invasion: “VERNON – A woman used a small white dog as a decoy Wednesday night in an armed home invasion of a Talcottville Road apartment in which the tenants were robbed and injured.”

Scruffy has been bought once, stolen twice: “A Maltese-Shitzu puppy has proved a popular target for thieves after being dog-napped twice in a month.”
