I have been plagued with a spotty internet connection. I do apologize for not celebrating this momentous occasion sooner (as pointed out by Steve). Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Smalldogarific has reached 20,000 hits! Thank you to everyone for reading (and loving small dogs). It wouldn’t have been possible with out all of you! “I would rather be here with you than anywhere else in the world. You, all of you here and everywhere, gave me this award tonight. And I accept it from you and only you. I love all of you. Now please forgive me, good night.”

Another momentous feat, a pair of surfers rescued a dog that was swept off a pier and into Lake Michigan. One brave surfer, grabbed the dog’s collar, just as he stopped paddling, and hoisted him onto a board. The pair managed to guide him ashore atop a surf board.

Leona’s dog Trouble may not last as America’s richest dog. Apparently, Oprah has set up a trust fund for her dogs, in the event that she passes on to the great beyond, her four dogs will inherit a cool $30 million!
