It was a typical story of like mother like daughter at the national finals of the Incredible Dog Challenge. Ranked amongst the world’s greatest in the heptathlon, Olympic medal winner and world record holder Jackie Joyner Kersee and her child prodigy greyhound Cindy, participated in in the challenge that took place in St Louis, Missouri, Saturday Sept 29th. Prior to the competition, Joyner Kersey said, “I’m coaching Cindy, the world record holder, in the high jump. She’s going to be jumping over a replica of the St Louis arch and it’s just exciting. I’m excited and I can’t wait to give her tips on, to make her much better, because she’s a greyhound. But she has all the power and I’m just glad to be here.” Jackie, we are glad to have you here (and your little dog Cindy too).

Two women came to the rescue of a 17-year old Yorkie named Bobby after they discovered the aged pup being tossed back and forth by two “young people.” Bobby went missing Saturday during a garage sale at his owner’s home. His owner, Bill Hardy, said he believes three teenage boys were involved, and one of the boys distracted Hardy by asking about a lamp for sale while the other two took the dog. It just goes to show that you can’t turn your back for a minute! Always one eye looking at, one eye looking for!
Friends don’t let small dog friends each mushrooms.
